The Cabinet approved the program of country reintegration activities for 2022, which envisions financing for 36 development projects that are to be implemented in the Security Zone. The total budget of the program is 15 million lei, IPN reports.

In accordance with the priorities declared when launching the competition of projects, 22 projects to develop and modernize educational institutions, 11 projects to repair and equip administrative buildings, cultural, sports and health facilities, two projects to set up recreational areas and other public places and one project to finance the activity of Moldova’s delegation to the Joint Control Commission will be implemented this year.

The central and local public authorities that are beneficiaries of the program are obliged to use the financial resources for the right purpose by the end of the fourth quarter of 2022.

In 2011-2021, there were implemented 11 governmental country reintegration programs that included 476 projects to the value of over 141 million lei, whose goal was to solve pressing problems experienced in the Security Zone, to ensure sustainable community development and to achieve the desideratum to reintegrate the country.
