{Info-Prim Neo interview with Tatiana Paladi, director of Polus Geticus Center} [– Mihai Eminescu’s path consisted both of successes and failures, crises and conflicts. How much did the cosmic mark influence poet’s destiny?] [Tatiana Paladi:] Nothing of what Eminescu did was accidental. He fulfilled his role as a cosmic entity. He was born in the year of the Rooster, under the sign of candor. Being attractive, with an impeccable appearance, he involved in various activities, traveled a lot, changing his way of life and looking for new challenges. Mihai Eminescu’s role was to observe and make others think like him. The poet was highly intelligent, a perfectionist with scientific thinking. He had a sharp spirit of observation, which he combined with a theoretical-idealist imagination. He was indeed a pioneer in many domains and considered he found the truth and admitted no contradiction. The Moon in Aquarius’ 8th house endowed the poet with talent and ingenuity, with a superior spirit and great sensibility. It also caused his thirst for knowledge, his attraction to occultism, his nonconformism and generosity. Eminescu permanently needed something new, a change, to feel his life was worth living. He had an incredible intuition, a dynamic and original imagination. Meanwhile, on his birth, Uranus was in Aries’ sign of fire, in the house of success. That’s why Eminescu was a groundbreaker, an innovator. He pioneered in science, including astro-mythology. Such people live every moment passionately and need absolute freedom to manifest their feelings. They fight against any kind of limits, either physic or intellectual. The Uranian manifestation boosted his aims, his knowing and progressive views, but had negative influences as well. People born under this sign have difficult careers, they find it hard to integrate in the society, and are often rejected by their own families. What influenced so much his understanding of this notion- time?] [Tatiana Paladi:] His solar sign was Capricorns, ruled by the planet of time Saturn/Cronos, because of which the poet loved freedom and solitude. He had a deep sense of duty, was very responsible, but introverted and cautious. Of his 39 years, he spent 14 creating literature (considering his debut at 16 and his mind illness after 1880). He was heavily influenced by the planet of discipline and realized that time was limited and structured, which we can see in poems like “Years have passed” or “Time flows by”. We must remember a few lines: “Past and future, ever blending,/ Are the twin sides of same page:/ New start will begin with ending/When you know to learn from age”. It is planet Saturn in the sign of Aries that boosted his creativity, ambition and will. Usually, goals influenced by Saturn are accessible, although they require great effort. Eminescu rarely found peace and could never relax. Saturn in the 10th house (career) offered him a great capacity of focusing in a very short time. This means that he had to do difficult things, but afterwards he would obtain people’s respect and awe. Veronica Micle was born on April 22, under the sign of Metal Dog and under the influence of Aries and Taurus. Thus, she was a savior with a lucid and fearless spirit. Famous for her beauty, Veronica Micle manifested a lot of patience, care, generosity and affection for the poet. However, they both had ambitious life and solar signs, which disturbed their relationship. Mihai Eminescu’s destiny was influenced by several cosmic factors. People born with the rising sign of Cancer, are attracted to occultism. They like to dream and use their rich imagination, which allows them to relax by evading in their own universe and analyzing past events. They are family-oriented and approach things realistically. For them, financial security is the key to a happy family and this can be obtained only through work. This was our great poet’s case as well. Professionally, he succeeded, but his long-term illness impeded him to build a family. He was tender towards Veronica, but also possessive, demanding total attention and love. He sought for financial and emotional security in her, but failed. The poet was sensitive, shy, emotive and suspicious of others, with whom he hardly found a common language. He was pretty unstable and people didn’t know what to expect of him. The Evening Star of Romanian poetry seemed unhappy in our world, so he gave up society and retreated in his inner universe. Eminescu understood that people must search for happiness in their souls, not in their minds. He found joy, satisfaction and spiritual fulfillment, which he expressed in his works. He was fully aware of the cosmic mark he bore, of the energies he was born with. The unmatched poet fulfilled his destiny.
