A woman aged 84 from Glodeni town died in a fire in her house last night. The cause of fire is yet to be found out.
Contacted by IPN, Ruslan Gusan, inspector of the Glodeni Emergencies Division, said the woman lived in a yard with her daughter, but in separate houses. The firefighters were called by the woman’s son-in-law, who felt smoke at about 2am. Until the firefighters arrived, the man tried to extinguish the fire himself, but didn’t manage to.
When the fire was put out, the firefighters found the carbonized body of the woman inside the house. State anti-fire rules supervision inspectors are to establish the circumstances and cause of fire.
According to the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service, 10 fires happened in Moldova during the last 24 hours.
