President Nicolae Timofti signed a decree on the appointment of eight judges to posts, at the suggestion of the Supreme Council of Magistrates. They will serve until they reach retirement, IPN reports.
According to a communiqué from the presidential press service, Stela Blesceaga was named as judge at the Rascani Court of Chisinau municipality, Angela Braga at the Hancesti Court, Ludmila Caraianu at the Ceadir-Lunga Court, Andrian Ciobanu at the Rascani Court, while Valentina Criucicova at the Calarasi Court. Ala Malyi will serve at the Ciocana Court of Chisinau municipality, Vasile Nogai at the Glodeni Court, while Ion Rabei at the Rascani Court.
In a meeting with the eight judges, Nicolae Timofti asked them to do honestly their job so as to restore the people’s confidence in justice. “The pays of judges will rise simultaneously with the increased responsibility you will show towards justice,” said the head of state.
The meeting involved the chairman of the Supreme Council of Magistrates Nichifor Corochii.
