Weightlifter Ecaterina Tretiacova has become Under 23 European champion. In Bucharest, the 22-year-old athlete has won three gold medals in the 81 kg weight class, IPN reports.

Tretiacova recorded an 88 kg lift in the snatch style and 108 kg in the clean and jerk style. She had a total lift of 196 kg, beating Ukrainian Anastasia Manievska (189 kg) and Polish Eliza Wcislak (188 kg).

Previously, Daniel Lungu won gold in the 55 kg weight class, and Marin Robu won two silver medals at the U20 in the 73 kg weight class, the snatch style and total lift.
