The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport of the Czech Republic provides ten scholarships for bachelor’s degree, master’s degree or doctoral studies to Moldovans for the 2014-2015 academic year. The scholarships include accommodation in dormitories and about €150 a month in financial support. Two of the ten scholarships are intended for Moldovans from the Transnistrian region.
Those who want to apply to this program must fill out on application form that can be downloaded from the official website of the Ministry of Education of Moldova. Seven scholarships to study in the Czech language were offered at the following specialties: agriculture, economy, ecology, management of human resources, technical specialties, and medicine. Three scholarships to study in English are available for agriculture, economy, and informatics.
Contacted by IPN, the head of the Ministry of Education’s International Relations Division Ludmila Pavlov said the results of the contest of scholarships will be announced at the start of 2014. “Such scholarships have been offered for about ten years. During the first years, the Czech Republic provided 4-5 scholarships, but later the figure rose to 10,” she stated.
About 100 Moldovans study now in the Czech Republic on scholarships provided by the Czech authorities.
