Anticorruption prosecutors took legal action against the employees of the State Guard and Protection Service who tried to prevent prosecutors and officers of the National Anticorruption Center from entering the Government Building, respectively the Ministry of Economy, during an operation on March 31, IPN reports.

According to the National Anticorruption Center, the employees will be questioned by prosecutors during the next few days. Their attempt to hinder anticorruption officers from entering the building could have thwarted the operation.

As a result of searches carried out at the Ministry of Economy on March 31, deputy minister Valeriu Triboi was arrested on charges of abuse of power and casing of considerable damage to the state budget.
