The Party of Communists (PCRM) considers the boycotting of the referendum on giving more powers to the Head of State that was initiated by President Igor Dodon is the only correct solution. It calls on its local organizations to form mobile teams that would inform the people about this and about the conspiracy between the Socialists and Democrats, IPN reports.

The decision of the party’s Executive Committee of the Central Committee says Igor Dodon serves the ruling regime and every time the Democratic government is in danger Dodon lends a hand. According to the PCRM, Igor Dodon appoints all the ambassadors proposed by the Democrats. Moreover, he shared control over such profitable companies as “Moldovagaz” and “Chisinau-Gaz” with the Democrats.

As to the referendum initiated by the President, the Communists said the only solution is to boycott this because the plebiscite is a smoke screen aimed at giving the impression that Igor Dodon is in the opposition. “The referendum scheduled for September 24 is consultative in character and has no legal power, being de facto a simple opinion poll,” says the PCRM’s decision.

The party’s Executive Committee of the Central Committee calls on the people to boycott the referendum. It also calls upon its local bodies to inform the people about the plot between the PSRM and PDM and about the necessity of boycotting the plebiscite so as to hamper the plans of the current regime.
