Chisinau underground passages to be managed under common plan
The underground passages in Chisinau will be managed based on a common plan that will be worked out by the Transport Division at the beginning of March, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The Division’s head Adrian Boldurescu said that a number of tender contests to lay out underground passages have been held. In the near future, there will be created a working group that will assess the situation of the economic entities whose contacts for the rent of areas in underground passages expired.
“The economic entities do not honor their obligations. I convinced them not to close the gates at night with great difficulty. The Chisinau Municipal Council must decide what we shall do further. Will we lease them or not,” said Adrian Boldurescu.
Mayor General Dorin Chirtoaca said that a common plan should be devised for all the underground passages of Chisinau. “Those who manage them should obey the plan. The areas that remain free should be put out to tender,” he stated.
The works to repair and reconstruct underground passages in Chisinau are to be covered by those who rent or are to rent commercial areas in the passages.
