The Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office finalized the investigation and submitted to court the criminal case of a senior specialist of the Chisinau Municipal Council division of architecture, urbanism and land relations, who is accused of influence peddling, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to a press release of the Prosecutor’s General Office, the man asked for and received €300 from the legal representative of a company, which was only the first installment of a €10,000 payment. The money was handed to the public servant in March 2012, in the yard of the Division of architecture, urbanism and land relations. The specialist is accused to have demanded and received the money for claiming to be able to influence the Chisinau Court of Appeals into extending the rent of 0.15 hectare land in Chisinau to the benefit of the company. He has been deprived of the right to leave the country for the next 30 days.
