A social reintegration center for orphan people aged between 16 and 23 was set up in Cahul. The center “My Home” can accommodate eight persons, IPN reports.
The residential institution is intended for young people who have few chances to integrate into a family and the community when they stop benefitting from alternative care. It will provide social and psychological and professional orientation assistance to the beneficiaries.
The social reintegration center appeared as a result of the reorganization of the Cahul residential institution, which started in 2007. This is part of the complex of social services “Together” that also includes a rehabilitation center with the capacity of 30 places for children up to the age of 16. Within this complex, the young people take part in IT, carpentry, sewing, beekeeping and cooking workshops.
