As many as 460 Ukrainian citizens were accommodated at “Moldexpo” Center during two days. The municipality of Chisinau has announced the permanent number of the Call Center: 079114040. This ensures connection with a number of services intended for refugees, IPN reports.
“We ask the people to remain calm and thank them for their solidarity. Employees of the Chisinau City Hall and volunteers throughout the night worked at “Moldexpo” Center and at all the locations where there are refugees,” said the mayor of Chisinau Ion Ceban.
Employees of the municipality, social assistants, volunteers and health workers are at the scene.
The central and local authorities opened bank accounts into which business entities and private individuals can make donations in support of the Ukrainians through a special account opened by the Ministry of Finance. Transfers can be made in Moldovan lei, in U.S. dollars or in euros. Aid collection points were set up at “Moldexpo” and at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Those who want can bring clothes, footwear, blankets, hygiene products and nonperishable foods that do not need to be processed thermally.
