A sum of 10 million lei was earmarked for organizing the Baccalaureate and secondary school graduation exams this year. This is twice more than last year.
Answering to an inquiry made by IPN, the Ministry of Education said the budget was increased because the specialists who are working out and grading exam papers receive higher remuneration now. It is expected that the number of papers that will be graded in the current session will be higher than last year, given the students who failed the exams the previous session.
More money will be allocated for scanning exam papers after they are graded so as to offer the candidates the possibility of accessing them on the Internet.
