The persons who raised loans through the program ”First House” could apply for compensations from the state later, when a child is born. This could be done through the ”First House 3” program announced by the Democratic Party. Thus, if the beneficiaries didn’t have children when they got a loan, they could in time benefit from a state compensation of 10%, 20%, 50% or 100% when a child or more children are born. The issue was developed in the talk show “Issue of the day” on Canal 2 channel, IPN reports.
Acting director of the Organization for the Development of the Sector of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (ODIMM) Petru Gurgurov said an applicant who will not have children when buying a house through the program ”First House” can ask for compensations from the state when children appear. “In a year or two when a child is born, the beneficiary can apply for a compensation within the ”First House” program,” he stated, adding that if a public servant benefits from compensation after raising a loan as a budget-funded employee, this can also apply for compensations for children.
Petru Gurgurov said the beneficiaries of the program must possess at least 10% of the price of the home they intend to buy, be aged between 18 and 45 and be officially employed and their official incomes should be at least twice higher than the monthly mortgage repayments. “The price of the house should not exceed 1 million lei. The necessary amount is provided as a loan,” he stated.
Broker Larisa Popovici said that with the launch of the ”First House” program, the number of applications and the sales increased and the tendency of the last few months is that 60% of the homes are bought by mortgage. “The price of old housing decreased by 17%, while of new housing remained the same,” she stated, noting the secondhand apartments are in demand as the applicants want to move to the own home as swiftly as possible.
The Democratic Party on July 17 announced the extension of the “First House” program. The beneficiaries of the third stage are the families with children that bought a house. The state will gradually repay a part or the whole home loan raised from the bank, depending on the number of children, not yet the interest rate.
