The twelfth graders of Moldova take the first Baccalaureate exam on June 3. According to the Ministry of Education, there were set up 102 Baccalaureate centers, 30 of which are located in the municipality of Chisinau, IPN reports.
The Baccalaureate session started with the exam in the Romanian language and literature for over 3,000 students speaking other languages than Romanian. The second exam, in the language of study, will be sat on June 7, while the third, in the foreign language, on June 10.
According to the schedule, the exam in the specialty discipline will be taken on June 14. Those studying exact sciences will sit the exam in math, those studying humanities – in history, while the students of arts and sports schools – in their specialty discipline.
The exam in the subject of one’s choice - geography, physics, chemistry, biology, math, the history of Romanians and universal history and informatics – will be sat on June 17. The last exam of the Baccalaureate session 2016 will take place on June 21. On this day, the students of Bulgarian, Gagauz and Ukrainian ethnicity will take the exam in the mother tongue.
The test papers will be graded during June 4-26. The results will be posted at the Baccalaureate centers on June 27. The students who will not agree with a grade will be able to challenge it within 48 hours. The final results will be announced on July 6.
The Ministry of Education calls on the candidates not to cheat. Those who will be caught having banned things on them or copying will have their grades annulled and will be able to take the Baccalaureate exams again next year.
The current session involves 21,524 candidates. Of these, 75.65% are twelfth graders of the class of 2016, while 24.35% are students who didn’t pass the exams the previous sessions.
