“Apa-Canal Chisinau” signs five contracts to purchase intervention equipment

The public utility SA “Apa-Canal Chisinau” signed five contracts for the purpose and delivery of intervention machines and equipment following the completion of the assessment of bids submitted within the tender contest held within the Priority Investment Program that is financed by the EBRD and EIB, IPN reports, quoting a press release of the company.

Companies from seven countries submitted nine bids. A commission of national and foreign experts chose the winning companies that will deliver purchases to the value of about €3 million within eight months of the signing of the contracts. The companies are from Moldova, Lithuania, Ukraine and Romania.

The new machinery will help to improve the water supply service and to reduce intervention costs following the appropriate equipment of the company.

The public utility also announced that bids to the international tender contest for rehabilitating the first segment of 60 km of water pipes and 24 km of mains, announced on October 16, can be submitted by December 22, 11am.
