Employees of the Chisinau water supplier have been involved in the liquidation of the consequences of the latest torrential rain. In order to improve the situation, there were created working groups that proposed measures for every case apart, IPN reports.

According to a communiqué from SA “Apa-Canal Chisinau”, the land in the park of Rascani district was eroded, while the rupture caused the inundation of the sidewalk and roadway. Owing to the large amount of precipitation, the pluvial drainage system yielded and damaged the sewer system. As a result, there appeared holes and the road was damaged.

The state-run designing company “Chisinau Proiect” will think up measures to avoid soil erosion and to direct the rainwater to the pluvial drainage system. The road maintenance company “Exdrupo” will clean and restore the drainage system, while the Green Areas Managing Association will lay out the damaged area. SA “Apa-Canal Chisinau” will ensure the protection of the sewerage system in the affected area, while the General Public Transport and Communications Division will assist in coordinating and performing works in that area.
