Liberal-Democratic lawmaker Ivan Ionas intends to illegally obtain 5 million lei as a result of a tender contest won by his construction company based on prior agreements, said the leader of the People’s Movement “Antimafie” Sergiu Mocanu.
In a news conference at IPN, Sergiu Mocanu stated the money was allocated in November to Cociulia village of Cantemir district for building a local road to Porumbesti village of the same district and for renovating the kindergarten in Porumbesti. In both of the settlements, the mayors are representatives of the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM).
According to the leader of “Antimafie”, the road was built without project documentation; the used sand was of a poor quality, while the employees worked illegally. The reconstruction of the kindergarten in Porumbesti hasn’t yet started. The Cantemir District Council is forced by the PLDM to offer money for the construction of the road and for the kindergarten even if its reconstruction hasn’t begun.
“Ivan Ionas is a great sponsor of the PLDM. You can find him on the list of sponsors with millions of lei,” said Sergiu Mocanu, adding that with this money Vlad Filat organized the party’s congress and financed the congress of the Liberal Reforming Party. He urged the chairman of the Cantemir District Council not to yield to pressure and not to offer this money.
Sergiu Mocanu promised that the next days he will reveal other fraudulent schemes involving Liberal-Democratic MPs.
