The head of Principal Phyto-sanitary State Inspectorate and deputy director of the National Agency for Food Safety (ANSA), Alexandru Ciobanu, says that at the request of Rosselhoznadzor ANSA is watching to make sure that the companies from the left bank of the Nistru export only local products, IPN reports.
The official assured that all companies throughout the country that have the approval of Rosselhoznadzor are allowed to export to Russia.
”In February, Rosselhoznadzor approved a list of 10 companies that were allowed to export. When the export of drupes began, we asked for a delivery permit. Later, we received a letter announcing us that 6 more exporters from the south, 2 from the north and all from the Transnistrian districts are allowed to export”, said Ciobanu during the online talk-shows “Without Myths” on pan.md.
According to him, all exporters must have their transport vehicles checked. “Before doing this, they must present a sample of the product in the lab, given that anywhere in the world exported products are verified in the lab”, explained Ciobanu.
“In the Transnistrian region, there are no problems with controls. Our inspector can go to any orchard and make a test. Inspectors in the districts on the other bank of the Nistru have a table with the number of orchards and farmers in the region”, said the ANSA deputy director, although he couldn't say the exact number of companies in Transnistria.
He is confident that the inspectors are well-trained and have the necessary technology for their inspections. He reminded farmers that in order to obtain export papers for Russia, they have to present the following documents: a request, a contract, control papers for the vehicle, a certificate regarding the use of pesticides and a safety certificate.
