ADEPT launches web page dedicated to parliamentary elections of April 5

The Association for Participative Democracy ADEPT launches, within the Civic Coalition for Free and Correct Elections “Coalition 2009,” a web page dedicated to the parliamentary elections of April 5, 2009 – www.alegeri.md, Info-Prim Neo has learnt from a communique of the Association. The web page offers ample and equidistant information about the coming election, as well as about the previous parliamentary elections. Particularly, the page contains the list of the electoral competitors, their electoral offers and the lists of their candidates, the electoral competitors’ statements and news releases, the reports monitoring the electoral process made by the Coalition 2009, the column “The Electoral Messenger” which offers daily electoral news, etc. It also includes relevant legislation and regulations, the documents adopted by the Central Election Commission. As far as registering the candidates and unfolding the electoral campaign go, the web page will contain electoral materials of competitors, their appeals filed to the CEC, materials of civic education and other useful information meant to inform the public, to monitor and ensure fairness in the electoral process. The information on the web page will be available in three languages: Romanian, English and Russian. The web page is developed within the project “Educating and mobilizing electors for the parliamentary elections of 2009,” financed by the National Endowment for Democracy (NED).
