Those who erect attic-like apartments will have to present more documents than at present. The Chisinau City Hall amended the regulations concerning these constructions after 28 attic-like apartments on one story were destroyed by fire on May 1, IPN reports.
Deputy mayor Nistor Grozavu Monday said that the expired authorizations for building 20 attic-like apartments are considered null and void. The works on five attic-like apartment stories were suspended. The contractors must provide the plan for organizing the works as regards the resistance, wiring and the supply of natural gas. The documents must be accompanied by the approvals of the Ministry of Construction and Regional Development, the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service, and the State Energy Inspectorate.
The authorizations for the attic-like apartments under construction are not nullified, but those who execute the works must present the required documents to the municipal authorities within a month. Without these documents, it will be impossible to officially allow inhabiting the attic-like apartments.
Nistor Grozavu informed that a temporary roof will be soon constructed on the building whose attic-like apartment story burned.
