"In the coming elections, we will have the task of showing to the whole world that Moldova is decided to go only forward, and will not slip back," Head of Parliament and Acting Presdient Marian Lupu said Friday, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. "On June 5, the people will give mandates and tasks to the new elected authorities as well as an example to the politicians as to how to elect the administration so that things advance. Given that we want to have a properous and European future for our villages, cities, capital and the whole country, I urge you to take an active part in the June 5 local elections," Marian Lupu said in press briefing on June 3. The Acting President also said that in every elections Moldova has to reassert its path to European integration. "It is not right that a vote does not count. History is made when hundreds of thousands of votes are gathered, the mistakes are penalized and the dreams come true. In Moldova, we respect any legal policy and this right is guranteed for everyone. But the power to use it belongs to the people," said Marian Lupu.
