The Cabinet has approved a list of students to receive Presidential Scholarships for the academic year 2016-2017. Ten monthly scholarships of 1,200 lei will go to higher education students and five other monthly scholarships of 930 lei will go to vocal education students.

The Cabinet also approved merit scholarships for students in post-secondary professional education institutions: 12 students will receive the Republic's Scholarship of 1,320 lei, and 30 other students will get the Government's Scholarship of 1,100 lei.

Also, 20 students in professional education institutions will get the Gaudeamus Scholarship of 800 lei.

In total, special scholarships for excellent academic standing will be offered to 77 students.
