Fifty socially disfavored children from the Straseni Social Protection Center “Prometeu” will receive school supplies to the value of over 2,000 lei that were gathered by a group of women within a workshop. The organizers said they will call on economic entities to also make donations. The school supplies will be donated to children on the Our Language Day, marked on August 31, IPN reports.

Deputy editor-in-chief of the women’s website “Thewoman.md” Valentina Andronic said it is everyone’s duty to help those in need. “We consider that this campaign is necessary for the simple reason that these children need education and deserve to go to school together with other children,” she stated.

The women attending the workshop said that a child must always be supported and they are glad to be able to contribute to the education of these children. They donated money and school supplies. The workshop organizers earlier carried out social campaigns centering on the care for the women and children.
