As many as 1,500 police officers will ensure security and public order on the occasion of the school year start festivities held on September 1. Patrolling inspectors will fluidize traffic near schools to prevent road accidents and congestion, IPN reports.

According to a communiqué of the General Police Inspectorate, police officers will conduct information sessions for first graders to familiarize them with the personal security and traffic rules that they must know. An operation entitled “Pedestrian” will take place all over Moldova in the period between September 1 and 10. It is aimed at making the drivers to be more responsible when going across crosswalks.
