The portal to enroll children at the kindergarten (egradinita.md) became the fourth most popular electronic public service in Moldova. About 19,000 applications were filed since the platform was launched in August 2017 until present, acting mayor of Chisinau Ruslan Codreanu stated in the May 20 meeting of officials of municipal services, IPN reports.

Ruslan Codreanu said the lack of places in preschool education institutions and the fact that admission taxes were levied were often invoked before the launch of the platform. Now there are no such complaints. The General Education, Youth and Sport Division said the number of persons who want an audience with officials of the Division decreased twice after the platform was launched.

The acting mayor noted 13 million lei was allocated for preschool education institutions in 2015, but the 2018 municipal budget was four time higher. Repair works last year were performed in 110 kindergartens. By September 1 this year, there will be revamped kindergartens No. 48, 3, 198, 112 and 166. Also, 1,800 new places will be created in admission taxes this year.
