About 700 persons to benefit from socials dwellings by this yearend

Approximately 1,700 persons and families with low incomes received social dwellings during the past five years within the framework of a project initiated by the Government with the support of the Council of Europe Development Bank. Another about 700 families will receive the keys to the dwellings by the end of this year, IPN reports, quoting the Government’s press service.

Among the beneficiaries are families with many children, persons with special needs and employees of the budget-funded sector wo do not have sufficient financial resources to purchase a dwelling. According to Prime Minister Pavel Filip, it is important for the Government to offer decent living conditions to those who need a shelter.

The social apartments were built as part of the second stage of the project to build dwellings for socially deprived groups from Moldova, which is financially supported by the Council of Europe Development Bank with a total loan of about €13.4 million.

About 2,400 persons with low incomes will be provided with about 680 social dwellings as part of this project.
