A minibus with 17 passengers in it overturned near Ustia village of Dubăsari district in the morning of November 19. As a result, the passengers were taken to the Criuleni District Hospital for being offered medical care.
Contacted by IPN, press officer of the Criuleni Police Inspectorate Diana Maxim said the minibus was transporting people to the workplace. The 27-year-old driver lost control of the vehicle and this skidded into a ditch and overturned.
Director of the Criuleni District Hospital Nicolae Croitor has told IPN that 17 persons were brought to the hospital for medical examinations at about 8am. Four of these are in a rather serious state and could be hospitalized. The others suffered minor injuries and will be allowed to go home.
Six persons were hurt in another accident that occurred on the Leova-Hâncești road this morning. They were taken to the Hâncești District Hospital. The 31-year-old driver of the minibus running on the Cahul-Chisinau route lost control of the vehicle between the villages Sărata Galbenă and Cneazevca. The minibus skidded off the road and crashed into a roadside tree. There were 19 persons in the minibus.
