The MPs on June 12 abrogated the June 28, 2015 Decision on the constitution of the Parliament’s standing commissions and voted to set up new standing commissions, approving their make-up, IPN reports.
There were created 11 commissions that consist of five to eleven members each. The legal commission for appointments and immunities will be managed by the MP of the group of the PAS Bloc ACUM Sergiu Litvinenko, the commission on economy, budget and finance by MP of the group of ACUM Platform DA Igor Munteanu, the commission on national security, defense and public order by MP of the group of ACUM Platform DA Kiril Moțpan, while the commission on foreign affairs and European integration by the MP of the group of ACUM Platform DA Iurie Reniță.
Andrian Lebedinski, of the Socialist parliamentary group, was named chairman of the commission on culture, education, research, youth, sport and the media. Socialist MP Radu Mudreac will chair the commission on environment and regional development, while Socialist MP Vladimir Golovatiuc – the commission on the control of public finances.
The chairpersons of the commission on public administration and the commission on social protection, health and family will be nominated by the Democratic group, while the leader of the commission on human rights and interethnic relations will be proposed by the group of the Shor Party.
