The Embassy of Moldova in Israel will be transferred from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. The Filip Government adopted a decision to this effect in its June 11 meeting, IPN reports, quoting the Government’s press service.
The Cabinet also approved the signing of the agreement on the sale of a building lot to the U.S. Embassy in Chisinau. Prime Minister Pavel Filip said that given the political instability in the country, they have to immediately adopt these decisions that some of the parties tried to block.
“These are two promises we made earlier and want to be sure that they will be fulfilled, no matter what happens after the snap parliamentary elections,” stated Pavel Filip.
Both of the draft decisions were assumed by the Government of Moldova and the intention was to prevent the blocking of these for a long term owing to the political crisis in the country, runs the press release.
