The Party of Socialists is appealing to all of its supporters to mobilize and get ready to take to the streets and at the first call in order o support the party and the President. “PSRM is not recognizing any decision of the so-called Constitutional Court, and all the actions voiced by Pavel Filip and other Democratic Party leaders are illegal”, the party said in a statement.

“All these actions are anti-constitutional and directed towards destabilizing the situation in our country. We confirm once again that everything that the Democratic Party and its leaders are doing amount to nothing but usurpation, which according to the Constitution is the most serious crime against the people and the country”, reads the statement.

According to the Socialists, “considering these conditions, snap elections are out of the question”. “Today the country has a legitimate Parliament, President and Government. The Party of Socialists is calling on all international partners to react to what is happening in our countru. Many of our partners have already congratulated Mrs Zinaida Greceanîi on her election as speaker and on the formation of government. More and more messages are coming in recognizing the new government and the leadership of Parliament”.

The Socialists are also advising their supporters to abstain from reacting to provocations.
