If snap parliamentary elections took place, the ratio of forces in the legislature would not change significantly, shows an option poll conducted by the company “Intelligent Data”. Some 38.1% of the respondents would vote for the Party of Socialists, 27.7% for the Bloc ACUM, 24.1% for the Democratic Party, while the Shor Party would get 5.4% of the vote with an electoral threshold of 6%.

In a news conference at IPN, “Intelligent Data” executive director Mihai Bologan said 16% of those polled would like the Party of Socialists and the Bloc ACUM to form a coalition, but 24% are in favor of snap parliamentary elections. Some 10.8% of those surveyed said they are in favor of a coalition between the Socialists and the Democrats.

According to Mihai Bologan, only 3.8% of the respondents expect a coalition between ACUM and the Democrats, whereas 7.5% of those surveyed are for the formation of a minority government by any of the parties that entered Parliament. Almost 40% of those interviewed said they do not have an opinion on the issue or do not want to state it.

The respondents were asked to name a politician they trust the most, with the question being open. Thus, 38% of those polled named President Igor Dodon, 18.5% - the Democratic leader Vladimir Plahotniuc, 17.3% - the leader of the Party “Action and Solidarity” Maia Sandu, while 9.7% - the leader of the Party “Dignity and Truth Platform” Andrei Nastase. The Shor Party’s president Ilan Shor was named by 5% of those surveyed, Prime Minister Pavel Filip by 3.3%, while the Socialist leader Zinaida Grecheanyi by 3%.

The poll was carried out by phone during April 17-22 and covered a representative sample of 671 persons. The margin of sampling error is 4%.
