The Central Election Commission on March 3 approved the official report on the final results of the parliamentary elections of February 24 and is to remit it to the Constitutional Court that has five days to validate or invalidate the elections, IPN reports.
According to the CEC, the February 24 legislative elections involved over 1.4 million voters, more than 76,000 of whom voted at polling places abroad, while over 37,000 at the polling stations intended for electors from the left bank of the Nistru.
The Party of Socialists won 18 seats of MP of the 50 seats elected in the national constituency, the electoral bloc ACUM DA PAS – 14 seats, the Democratic Party - 13, while the Shor Party – five.
In single-member constituencies, the Democratic Party gained 17 seats of MP: Oleg Sîrbu, Ion Leucă, Corneliu Padnevici, Eugeniu Nikiforchuk, Gheorghe Brashovski, Eleonora Graur, Nicolae Ciubuc, Ludmila Guzun, Vlad Plahotniuc, Pavel Filip, Alexandru Jizdan, Grigore Repeshchuk, Alexandru Botnari, Gennady Buza, Dumitru Diacov, Efrosinia Grețu and Elena Bacalu. The following candidates were elected MPs under the party list: Andrian Candu, Constantin Botnari, Monica Babuc, Vasile Bîtca, Sergey Sîrbu, Vladimir Cebotari, Vladimir Andronaki, Otilia Drăguțanu, Svetlana Rotundu, Violeta Ivanov, Anghel Agache, Vladimir Vitiuc and Igor Vremea.
The Party of Socialists won 17 seats in constituencies: Zinaida Grecheanyi, Irina Lozovan, Vladimir Mizdrenko, Alla Piliptskaya, Alexandr Usatyi, Alexandr Nesterovski, Oleg Savva, Oleg Lipskii, Vasile Bolea, Vlad Batrîncea, Adrian Lebedinski, Grigore Novac, Alexandru Jolnaci, Chiril Tatarlî, Alexandr Suhodolski, Fiodor Gagauz and Gheorghii Para. Based on the party list, seats of MP on behalf of the PSRM were won by Ion Ceban, Eduard Smirnov, Bogdan Țîrdea, Ivana Koksal, Alla Dolință, Victor Gaiciuc, Vladimir Golovatiuc, Adela Raileanu, Corneliu Furculiță, Bologan Victor, Vladimir Odnostalko, Radu Mudreac, Vladimir Țurcan, Ivan Zabunov, Petru Burduja, Oleg Teterea, Tatiana Kunetski and Gaik Vartanean.
The candidates of the bloc ACUM DA PAS won the elections in 12 single-member constituencies: Maria Ciobanu, Lilian Carp, Liviu Vovc, Inga Grigoriu, Iurie Reniță, Vladimir Bolea, Dan Perciun, Mihail Popșoi, Andrei Năstase, Petru Frunze, Maia Sandu and Dumitru Alaiba. The MPs elected under the bloc’s list for the national constituency are: Alexandru Slusari, Igor Grosu, Igor Munteanu, Octavian Țîcu, Liliana Nicolăescu-Onofrei, Sergiu Litvinenko, Kiril Moțpan, Dinu Plîngău, Oazu Nantoi, Radu Marian, Doina Gherman, Arina Spătaru, Veronica Roșca and Stela Macari.
The Shor Party won two seats in single-member constituencies - Ilan Shor and Marina Tauber. The party’s MPs elected in the national constituency are Petru Jardan, Maria Albot, Denis Ulanov, Reghina Apostolova and Vadim Fotescu.
Among those who won in constituencies are also independents Alexandr Oleinic, Viorel Melnic and Ion Groza.
Based on the proceedings on the final results of the national consultative referendum provided by the district electoral councils, the CEC ascertained that 39.78% of the voters or more than 1/3 of those put on the voter rolls answered the question “Are you for reducing the number of MPs from 101 to 61?”. A number of 744,529 electors voted “For”, while 266,188 electors voted “Against”.
Also, 39.74% of the voters or more than 1/3 of those put on the voter rolls answered the question “Are you for the people to be able to dismiss the MPs who do not appropriately fulfil their duties?”. In this case, 808,266 people voted “For”, while 202,497 people voted “Against”.
