Mihai Ghimpu: PL and extraparliamentary parties will hold talks

The president of the Liberal Party Mihai Ghimpu said the extraparliamentary pro-European opposition parties accepted the Liberals’ invitation to sit at the negotiating table and discuss the participation in the upcoming parliamentary elections. The Liberal leader informed about this in the talk show “Black box” on TV8 channel, IPN reports.

“It was clear for me from the start that we will not form an electoral bloc. We speak about the coordination of campaigning in single-member constituencies so as to support the candidates for MP because, if we clash between us, the Socialist or Democratic candidate or Plahotniuc’s man will win as a result,” stated the politician.

The Liberal Parry announced that the party’s Political Bureau decided to open negotiations with the extraparliamentary pro-European opposition parties Party “Action and Solidarity” and Party “Platform Dignity and Truth” and also with the parliamentary Liberal Democratic Party of Moldova that assumed the Union desideratum by its statutes.

At the same time, the Party “Action and Solidarity” and Party “Platform Dignity and Truth” announced that the future electoral bloc will be formed by them plus representatives of civil society, but they are also ready to have discussions with representatives of other political parties that accept to take the integrity test.
