Guaranteeing the rule of law and providing clear evidence that the fight against grand corruption started are among the first actions that should be taken by the representatives of the electoral bloc formed by the Party “Action and Solidarity” and the Party “Platform Dignity and Truth” if they come to power. The people will regain confidence in the state only if they see concrete steps and concrete results, the president of the Party “Action and Solidarity” Maia Sandu was quoted by IPN as saying in the talk show “Emphasis on today” on TVR Moldova channel.

According to her, only when results in fighting grand corruption, in recovering the stolen US$ 1 billion and in creating justice for all are seen, the Moldovans would want to start businesses and this would mean jobs, salaries and taxes. The people could feel these results during six months of the replacement of the government.

With reference to foreign experts, Maia Sandu noted only 30% of the persons who work in the justice sector are suitable. “The management of the law enforcement agencies should be definitely changed. There is no one there who would deserve to remain. After this reassessment, we would have to bring fresh forces. In the Republic of Moldova, we do not need tens of thousands of judges, tens of thousands of prosecutors. We hundreds of people and we can make sure we have these people,” stated the politician.

She noted the future bloc will be officially formed of the Party “Action and Solidarity” and the Party “Platform Dignity and Truth”, but will be open to representatives of other political parties that will want to field potential candidates who will go through the same filters. “The future bloc will be signed by two parties – the PAS and PPDA,” stated Maia Sandu.
