Seven parties consider unionist electoral political project

Seven parties and associated entities had a first discussion on a possible unionist or Euro-unionist electoral political project. In a posting on her personal blog, the leader of the National Liberal Party (PNL) Vitalia Pavlichenko wrote that after the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM) became the third party with pro-union statutes, following the example of the PNL and the National Unity Party (PUN), time has come to think about a political electoral option with a long struggle in the future, IPN reports.

The PLDM is the third component of the possible PPDA-PAS-PLDM triple electoral alliance. According to Vitalia Pavlichenko, a unionist PLDM could mean one thing of two: the triple alliance will use the argument that it has a unionist component in the elections and the unionists will be invited to concentrate their votes on this possible electoral competitor or the PLDM, as a unionist party, declares itself ready for a free and broad unionist or Euro-unionist amalgamation.

The politician noted that after the seven parties took the first step to initiate a political-electoral dialogue, it would be an example of maturity if the Liberal Party (PL), PUN and PLDM show interest and willingness to have a dialogue too. If the three parties, two of which are parliamentary ones (PL and PLDM), join the seven parties in the discussions, a kind or platform or “bloc of the 10” could be created.

According to Vitalia Pavlichenko, the bloc of the ten would include the Liberal Democratic Party, the Liberal Party, the Liberal Reformist Party, the National Liberal Party, the National Unity Party, the People’s Party, the Green Ecologist Party, the Party “Democracy at Home” and the People’s Will Party.
