Japanese society respects itself and this managed to implement a modern economic system, with Japan becoming one of the most developed states in the world. It continues to develop rapidly and offers assistance to countries on practically all the continents, Moldova’s Ambassador in Tokyo Vasile Bumacov stated in the talk show “Place for dialogue” on Radio Moldova station. He noted that the Moldovans have what to learn from the Japanese people, IPN reports.
The diplomat said that what Japan managed to do after World War II is a miracle, including an economic one. Japanese society respects itself and managed to institute a modern economic system and to remain united. The Japanese people kept the culture and traditions devoutly. They also kept the respect for each other and are modest. They enjoy life and combine it well with work. “This is what an undivided society means and I every time think that the situation in our country is practically opposed and this is a big disadvantage for us,” stated Vasile Bumacov.
As regards the provision of assistance to Moldova, the ambassador said that before taking a decision, the Japanese authorities analyze things well and make sure that there are areas that will benefit more people and these will have a positive impact on environment. From this viewpoint, last year was a rather productive one for the Republic of Moldova, which was visited by a number of Japanese missions and the common projects will continue.
Vasile Bumacov also said that he tries hard to promote more national things so that Moldova is known in Japan, including the Moldovan wine and national cuisine. The Japanese people show interest in Moldova as a result of such events as the Wine Festival. Moldova needs Japanese tourists as well as infrastructure and this profitable sector should be developed. The Moldovans should visit Japan to see many interesting sites and things there and its well-organized transport system.
The diplomatic relations between Moldova and Japan were established on March 16, 1992.
