Businessman Vasile Chirtoca is an ideal candidate for the post of Prime Minister, the leader of the Party of Communists (PCRM) Vladimir Voronin said in the talk show “Friday with Anatolie Golea” on RTR Moldova channel, IPN reports.
“Why do you think we cannot field Chirtoca for premiership? This person will be the best candidate. He showed what special capacities he has. If not now, then later. He is the most suitable candidate for heading the Government. We will anyway propose him further,” stated Voronin.
Vladimir Voronin expressed his dissatisfaction with the fact that the PCRM’s candidate for the mayoralty of Chisinau won only over 4% of the poll. “We put forward a man with special qualities. He would have been an extraordinary mayor. But they voted for the one who has kept Chisinau in utter misery for eight years. Our capital city has never been dirtier and more neglected. Why 400 persons had their domicile in the house of Chirtoaca’s aunt? In villages, the elections were rigged even more seriously. The voters there were corrupted with money and food products,” he stated.
Vladimir Voronin excluded an alliance with the Party of Socialists, saying they are ‘traitors’. But he wasn’t so categorical as regards the formation of an alliance with the other parliamentary parties, even if these are represented by ‘thieves and bandits’. “Diacov phoned me and asked me to meet as we must do something because the country is in a crisis. I agreed to meet and discuss. Maybe we should amend the Constitution so that we no longer face crises,” said the Communist leader.
